Honey & Clover

Alright, blogging on "Nian Chu 1"

So now gonna wish everyone who read this blog a happy new year, shen ti jian kang, wang shi ru yi, xue ye jin bu.... etc

Well, the topic is Honey & Clover, which is the name of the anime i watched jsut 1 week ago. Normally i won't even talk about what show i watched. However Honey & Clover gives me a very enjoyable moment because it brings me both laughter, thoughts and sadness..

The first episode gives me a very unpleasant feeling. This is because the introduction of the chracters is quite strange. I gave up the series a few months ago. But since alot of people said is nice, i continue to watch it. After i watched the 2nd and 3rd episode, i found that H&C is a totally unique anime which looked similar to a tv series. However, unlike a tv series, it bring much more humour in the show that TV cant achieve.

Unlike a normal anime series, there is no pantie shots, there are no kawaii gers, and no enchi scenes. However, there is alot more like real life scences which makes it more interesting and appealing to a 21 year old me.

The story is about a bunch of friends, who study/graduate from the arts school. The main character is having a 1 sided love. When he knew that the gal he loves, love another guy, he got confused in life and do not know the direction in the future.

unquitted relationships, family, confused feelings... are some examples which the anime showed on the different characters. Of course for the humour part, a mad guy called Morita, who loves money, and do what he likes, got repeated in the school for 7 years.. Alot of funny stuff circle around him. After i watched it, i then can understand why H&C beat FMP-TSR for the most humourous anime of the year by Random Curosity. However, i still think School Rumble is the most funniest anime i watched last year.

Well, enough of that, i just miss the steamboat birthday party... Its been nearly a year since my last steamboat. It was such a bad day... i got a bad diaorrea that afternoon that i got so tired and sleep through till 6.30 when lulu waked me up. Well, sorry for not informing you guys : (

Perhaps the part that touched me the most in H&C is the growth of takemoto. The man we saw in the end and the man he was at the beginning were 2 different persons, yet the process over the years was hardly noticable. Although it was a painful process of growing up and searching, he finally found it - the courage to stand up for himself and pursue dreams which were all along precious to him.

How about you, SY, the young man who is growing up and about to take on the world? And myself as well, who is graduating in juz a few mths time. maybe we should stop asking ourselves what the world and ppl around us need, but what makes us come alive, and just go do it! bcos what the world needs is people who have come alive. maybe the place where God calls me to is the place where my passion and the world's hunger meet. maybe the desires and dreams planted in me were designed to lead me to Him :)

For now, HAPPY CNY! let's juz think of the food! =)
