A nice weekend
Its been some time since i really relax myself. Is really the end of the internship now. Just 1 more week and it will be over. From the start of the intern, when i went for orrientation, to the moment last friday, where i share my experience with the rest of the interns, partners and managers, at the intern-farewell party, it was truely an enjoyable ride. First of all, i will like to thank god for giving me this chance, this opportunity to develop myself. I will also like to thank all my colleagues for sharing their knowledge with me and give me all the work for me to try. Despite the work i do is very simple, from photocopying to very complex tax computations, each task that i did, i do take it seriously, and i appreciate it. Learning from the start, beginning from zero, until the end product, the process and what you had learnt is still the most important. Is my last week now, and after that i am going to upload some pics that i took during the intern. Haha, it had been really ages since i had upload any into my blog. And i know everyone prefers pics more than anything else. Pai seh, i just like to whine.Last friday, there was a party to celebrate the end of internship for all the interns during this period. For me, is more like a party trying to retain back interns so that they will work for KPMG after graduation. I can see how high demand is for accoutants now, and maybe for the year ahead. Regardless of that, the party was fun for me. They have free flow of drinks, and not to mention, i saw Edric, Jeremery, Ee An and some other UWA interns there too. Most of them are in the audit department. I also managed to talk to my managers, and also an audit partner. After i had graduated, i think i will stay in KPMG (provided they want me). I still am uncertain whether to work in tax or audit. But i think the answer will come by the end of this year.
I met Altee for lunch on thursday. It had been nearly 2 years since i last saw her. She bring me to Amoy for lunch which i don't even know of such a place till now. Well, if you stayed in CBD for 2 years, sooner or later, you would have try most of the food in area. Is really great to see her still doing well, cheerful as usual. How i wish i have 1 more week here so that i can meet the rest of my friends that i missed out.
I also did go to Halo Bar at Ngee Ann poly with kw vincent and yibin. Alright lah, just a night chill out there, and some cheese prata at upper bukit Timah hill with Holic dinosaur. Thank you guys, for being with me.
I went to Batam yesterday. Everyone first impression of this place is, sex? HAHA. oh man, you guys are all wrong, is a cheap getaway place. I just stayed in a 5-star hotel, Batam View for only 100 plus bucks/per person for the weekend. All i can say it is really worth it. From food, comfort to leisure, everything is there. They have a wide range of watersports, these include jet skiding, banana boat, canoing. Not only that, they have also alot of land activities. Cycling, hiking is one of those. Whats more, these activities are all very afforadable compared to singapore. Just 2 bucks for canoing. Food wise, i will suggest indonesian food becuase its their speciality afterall. For those who like to go for sightseeing, i think there is rivercruise, and taxi rides to the town. All of these can be arranged by the hotel. I think it is very value for money because they had just renovated the hotel, everything just looked brand new. At night, i went to the seafood restaurant by the sea where i was able to see the sunset before dinner. It was a great way to relax myself from exams and work. So before the day ends, i went for a drink at the lounge to watch the match between Reading and Charlton. Though there are so many activities, i spend most of the time relaxing in the swimming pool. Most of the time, there is only 1 or 2 people there. Maybe is CNY. But the idea of occupying the whole pool for myself is great. Life is good.
ok, that is all for now. Still addicted to the song, Ju Hua Tai.
