Australia Panic

1st week of semester

Yea WQ, i got your message. Don't worry, when you message me that time, i was in the library too, trying my best to focus and work. Thanks so much. I won't be able to send you any international sms because i am using pre-paid card. Tat damn Optus, it is freaking expensive. I already spend 10 bucks in less than 1 week (somemore i seldom call and sms). Money-leechers..

Despite all the motivation i have before i came here, it was gone after i touched down. I promised myself to study very hard so that i won't disappoint my own expectations. Right now, i am both tired and drained. i do force myself to study by going to the library, but i spend 2 hours thinking of other things rather then looking at the book. This is the third year and i really don't wanna waste any more time liao. Tutorials are starting next week, and i have to make sure to finish my tutorials before i go to class. Indeed, i have poor time management, and games is always my best friend because it distract me totally, so that i won't think of any other things. Let me strife to work harder now.

After i came back, i start vomiting again. The doctor said that it will happen when i get tense and stress. Argh, i wonder when will it stop. I had been going to matilda bay almost everyday to stone and take a breadth. It was a really great place to do something like that because you can enjoy the view and the breeze that is blowing into your face. I wish Singapore got such nice place to rot also.

This week its not as down-sided as i described above. I went for bowling on the day i touched down. Currie Hall booked the whole ring for us to bowl. And i now got a new name, Gabriel bowls like a girl, but strikes like a man. HAHA. Pai seh lah, i go for accuracy in expense of speed. It was fun regardless of what, 90% who went are ah mo, and they really shout here and there, enjoying themselve. Even on the school bus, they shout cheering themes all the way to keep entertained. Of course we joined in the fun and its part of their culture afterall..

I managed to go for 7 out of 8 lectures. Damn, i nearly break the record by going for all of them in the first week. It was an accident on that day when i tried to take a afternoon nap and booze, and gone. I also did help out with the orrientation on thursday abit, it was really meaningful for me.

I wanted to work, as a garbage collector in Currie Hall. I wanted to earn some pocket money to support myself, and occasionally treat my friends for a meal. They are actually paying 15 bucks per hour. But damn, i still yet to get any news from the in charge, Sharon i think. Maybe you need n walk-in-interview and a written resume here to be a garbage collector.

Interviewer: "So what makes you want to be a garbage collector?"

ME: "Because i feel that i have a responsbility to keep this place clean"

Interviewer: "and so what garbage-picking qualitities or experience u have?"

ME: "i was army-trained for 2 years, and during this time, i did clean my bunk so clean that you won't even be able to find one speck of dust around"

Interviewer: "wow, that sound impressive, you got it, you can start tomorrow."

ME: "thanks so much!" (yea right B***H).


So do my room looks clean??? Finally, and for this moment only... LOL

Went out for KTV just now with wilson they all. We all used to stay at C300s. Its been so long since i really enjoy myself, though i vomit about 3-4 times during the whole thing (2 hrs). Thanks to all the oldies and hokien songs. But still, manage to sing my songs. Haha, i am not in the pictures, but let the pictures tell you guys more about it bah.

Below are some CNY pictures that i took last week. For the past CNY, i always like to rot at home. But this year, i had changed abit, its better to go out and ban nian. It is also a good time to catch up also. Samuel(colleague) visited me. Wen Quan and Khairul also came my house the next day. I also went to Joanne's house, and Siewting's house. If i have more time, i definately visit Lishan and Kar Wei. Miss you guys man.


At Siew Ting's place playing blackjack. I won 15 bucks. The remainding surviving active leftovers of class 4/3. Except for vincent, he extra.

And Joanne too, her house is really big. Her mom and she is amazing as usual. Bake so much goodies till my teeth nearly dropped.



And lastly, my Mickey and Minnie Mouse! Everytime i look at them, i really do envy this couple. Even though they are not alive, at least they are always, side by side, together. Something that not anyone can have. I always thought of bringing them with me to perth. Mickey is always a special icon for me. And someone like Minnie will be there for him. Aww, what am i talking about. But, finally they are here...
