What a run...

I think this week was quit meaningful for me. Well, i went for cross-contry on thursday. Cant believe it, yes is cross-country. It is an inter-college run, and there are five colleges. Currie Hall is one of the five. Guess what, there are only 4 guys running for currie hall.

Actually, it never meant to be like this. I thought that the run was like a leisure run, like charity type. TMD. I only know it is a race when i already dressed and get warmed up. Hong Kan lah, the last time i ran was 5 mths ago and it is the 4th time i run in 2 years. Yes, it is a sucide misson for me.

At the starting point, after i saw the people there, i really feel like withrawing from the race. All the ah-mo who particpate are 1 to 3 head taller than me. Their size like also double of mine. there is one guy whose legs like double the height of mine. I can imagine i when he take 1 step, it needed 2 steps for me. The 4.2km road is running around King's Park. King's Park is just like a small version of Mount Faber hill. When the race started, everyone was like sprinting and in just about 3second, i am the last 3 of the nearly 30 guys there. In another minute into the race, i was the last....

The road was quite terrible at the start, the slope is so damn steep until i went to a walking pace even though i can't see anyone in front of me. It was so demorlising that i really wanna walk back down the the starting point and gave up the race. But after i reached the main road, it is quite a bliss for me because is all downslope all the way. And it is actualy the 2km downslope encouragees me to continue even my legs are already numb by then.

No question about it, I was the last out of the 40 person, out of the 4 colleges. there are 2 person who went "holan-ed" and end up running 6-7km around king's park. That makes me the 3rd last out of the guy's race (by the book). To be frank, even though i end up to be one of the last, it is pretty an achievement for me. I complete the race in like 25 to 30min. And this is the 4th time i run in 2 years. Of course everyone was like teasing me about it, i can tell them proudly at least i went and completed the race. Sometimes, life is not all about winning.

One more thing, we finally got boardband!!! YES, no need to care how much Megabyte i used everytime i connect. This is the same for Trinity college. Yes calyn, you can non-stop show yr face to JJ through webcam liao. Eh, they got it on the 30/8. And i finally can use you-tube till i drop also can. I was thinkingof d/l-ing, but since the speed is like 10-20kb/s, and i actually promise my brother not to d/l with this laptop, i give up the idea.
